About Me
A JOURNEY
TOWARD BALANCE
Hello world, my name is Roxanna.
I’m a certified yoga instructor in Orlando, and I love meeting and connecting people.
I look forward to getting to know you.
My love for yoga was planted as a little seed, well before my love for asana (the physical practice of yoga) begun. Raised in the mountainous villages of Crete, Greece, my mom would take us on long hikes, identifying and collecting wildflowers and herbs that we would later dry for herbal remedies and teas.
Little did I know that those hikes would instill in me a practice of walking meditation, a deep love for all of nature’s wonder, a continuous search for mindfulness and connection, and the unshakable trust that as human beings, we (and we must) hold the power to help heal our bodies, minds and spirits.
More than a decade (and halfway around the globe) later, 18 years old and a freshman in college, I started practicing physical asana, and have been on (and often off) the mat at home and various local yoga studios, ever since.
It wasn’t until my early thirties, however, after having children and seeing the direct impact that mindfulness, yoga , and a healthy life can have on myself and family, that I found myself head over heals in love with yoga, the lifestyle, all over again.
I received my 270 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, specializing in Hatha, at Yoga University of Florida. I am so grateful and honored to have been, and always will be, a student of MyLinda Morales; ERYT 500, CYT 6400, CPYT. CYYT (Yin), Bryan Kest trained teacher, founder, owner, and director of Altamonte Springs Yoga, and Yoga University of Florida.
